Drain Cleaning

Why is my kitchen sink draining slowly?
Slow kitchen drains are most often caused by the gradual buildup of grease, food residue, soap scum, and grime coating the inside of your pipes. Over time, this restricts water flow similar to a clogged artery. While minor clogs can sometimes be cleared with a plunger, persistent slow drains usually require professional cleaning to remove the deep blockage.
What is the difference between drain snaking and hydro-jetting?
Snaking is a traditional method where we use a flexible metal cable (auger) to physically break through or pull out a clog, such as hair or toilet paper. It is effective for simple blockages.

Hydro-jetting is a more advanced, heavy-duty solution—essentially a pressure washer for your pipes. Our jetter blasts water at up to 2,500 PSI (14 gallons per minute) to scour the inside of your pipes clean, removing grease buildup and debris that a snake might miss. It is the best way to restore your drains to like-new condition.
How can I prevent clogs in my bathroom and kitchen?
In the kitchen, avoid pouring grease or oil down the drain, as it solidifies and catches food particles. In the bathroom, hair is the number one enemy; installing simple drain catchers can save you a lot of trouble. Also, avoid flushing "flushable" wipes, as they often don't break down and can snag in your sewer line.

Water Heaters

What are the benefits of installing a tankless water heater?
Tankless water heaters provide an endless supply of hot water because they heat water on demand rather than storing it in a large tank. While the initial investment is higher, they are more energy-efficient and can save you money on utility bills in the long run. They also take up significantly less space in your garage or closet and are an environmentally friendly option.
How often should I flush my traditional water heater?
We generally recommend flushing your water heater once a year. In Las Vegas, our hard water causes sediment and minerals to build up at the bottom of the tank quickly. This sediment acts as a barrier between the burner and the water, forcing the unit to work harder and potentially shortening its lifespan.
My water heater is making a loud banging noise. What does that mean?
That sound is often described as "kettling" or "popping." It is usually caused by steam bubbles escaping through a layer of sediment at the bottom of the tank. It’s a sign that your tank needs to be flushed or that the heating element is struggling. Call us for a free estimate—we will check to see if it can be repaired before recommending a replacement.

Leak Detection

What is a slab leak, and what are the warning signs?
If your water bill has jumped by $50 or more in a single month without a change in your usage habits, you likely have a leak. It could be a running toilet, a landscape irrigation issue, or a hidden slab leak. The Las Vegas Valley Water District may also send you a notice if they detect continuous usage. Don't wait—call us immediately for a free leak detection estimate to prevent further damage.

How is professional leak detection performed?
We don't guess—we inspect. Our experienced plumbers use specialized equipment to locate the exact source of the leak, whether it’s underground, in a wall, or under a slab. Once diagnosed, we provide a written estimate with up-front pricing for the repair so you can make an informed decision.

Water Softeners

Do I need a water softener in the Las Vegas/Henderson area?
Yes, Las Vegas has some of the hardest water in the country. Without a softener, mineral buildup can damage your appliances (like dishwashers and water heaters), dry out your skin and hair, and leave difficult-to-clean scale on your fixtures.
What kind of maintenance does a water softener require?
Standard salt-based systems require you to regularly refill the salt tank to ensure proper regeneration. However, we also offer and service no-salt and no-maintenance water filtration systems if you prefer a hassle-free option. If you already have a system and aren't sure if it's working, we service all brands (including Kenmore, Whirlpool, and Rheem).

General Services

Why is the water pressure in my shower so low?
Low pressure in just one fixture (like a showerhead) is often due to mineral buildup clogging the nozzle or a failing cartridge. If the low pressure is affecting your entire home, it could indicate a problem with your main pressure regulator or a hidden leak in the main line.
My toilet keeps running—is this an easy fix or a sign of a bigger issue?
A running toilet is often a relatively "easy" fix, such as replacing a worn-out flapper or fill valve. However, ignoring it is costly—a running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons of water a day and significantly spike your water bill. If a simple jiggle of the handle doesn't stop it, give us a call to get it fixed properly.
